TALLY BASIC ACCOUNT

1st step : Click the tally icon on the desk top. Tally screen will open . If the cursor stops at the Select Company option, select the company where you are going to enter the transactions. If the cursor stands at create company follow the steps given under.

After fill all details above as Press Ctrl+A to save or press enter key again & again
Until it ask Accept Yes or No (press y to accept) . It’s over .The company creation is successfully done
Company creation is over , now try to enter some entries and verify how it will appear in report.
NOW SET UP THE CONFIGURATION LIKE THIS ON GATE WAY OF TALLY MENU
GATEWAY OF TALLY >PRESS F12 KEY>VOUCHER ENTRY
SET UP THE OPTIONS LIKE THE FOLLOWING

TALLY BASIC ACCOUNT (VOUCHER ENTRIES, PURCHASE ENTRY)

VOUCHER ENTRIES
PURCHASE ENTRY

1. On 10.4.09 Purchased 200 nos of LG model monitors from Dolphin infotech ltd each @ Rs 4500/- vide bill no 0565.

The above transaction is related to Purchased entry . So it has to enter in purchase entry
Here we have to create 3 Leger Names/masters. i.e .1. Dolphin infotech ltd under sundry creditors
2.Purchase a/c under group purchase.3.LG Monitors – this is the name of a stock item

The first two ledger names create like this way
First one Dolphin Infotech ltd
Gateway of tally>Accounts info>Ledgers>Create
Name : Dolphin Infotech ltd
Under : Sundry creditors (this is a group)
Press Ctrl A to Save this ledger creation

The second one is a Purchase a/c
To create the purchase a/c follow same rule applied for the above
Gateway of tally>Accounts info>Ledgers>Create
Name : Purchase a/c (here you can create either purchase a/c or monitor purchase a/c)
Under : Purchase accounts (this is a group)
Press Ctrl A to Save this ledger creation

Now the third one is LG Monitor . Its is stock item name . not account ledger
So follow this method to create this item

Gateway of tally>inventory info>Stock items>create
Name : Type as LG Monitor
Under : Simply press enter (this is group you create a group as TV by pressing the Alt+c)
Units : Press Alt+c to create the units as nos .
Type : Simple
Symbol : nos ( in case the stock item is oil , it will treated as litres)
Formal Name : numbers
No.of Decimal Places : 0 ( for nos u can type 0 , incase the unit in ltrs , decimal places will becomes 3. Because 1 and half ltr , 1.250 ltrs etc)
After finishing the unit creation press ctrl+a to save the item name

you can create the units in this way also.
Gateway of tally>inventory info>Units of measure

Now you have to go like this to enter this transaction.

Gateway of tally > accounting vouchers> Press F9 for enter purchase voucher

If You follow the above instruction and enter in purchase invoice , the invoice will appear like this

After filling the detail as above it will ask Accept ? yes or no . Press enter key or simply press Y
So the Purchased entry is over.

PAYMENT ENTRY
Now we discuss about the payment entry.

TALLY BASIC ACCOUNT (SALES ENTRY)

SALES ENTRY

Sales entry is to be enter in Gateway of tally > accounting vouchers> sales (F8). The trader
Will sell goods to their customers either by cash or credit to get margin/ profit . All sales should be
maintain a record for turnover , sales tax , bill receivable purpose.


Description for the above figure
Ref : you can enter the sale bill no
Party’s A/c Name : Name name of the Persons / company to whom the goods was sold. (create this name under the Group Sundry Debtors
Sales Ledger : This is the name of a sales Ledger . You can create as sales a/c or Monitors sales a/c
Under group Sales. Under statutory information Activate the option “Yes” for used in vat returns.
And choose the vat/tax class sales 12.5%.
Next come to the Name of item type as “LG Monitors” (it was already created while entering the purchase entry) So no need to create it again. Under Quantity column enter as 100 nos , and the rate as 4000/- per nos. Automatically the comes as 4,00,000/-

After finishing this use Enter key twice to enter the sales tax account . This is you create a ledger
Called ‘output vat 12.5%’ under the group Duties & taxes . the option “type of duty / tax “ select vat and under “vat tax class” select output vat @ 12.5% then sale it by pressing Ctrl+A Key.
The tax amount will automatically calculated . After finished this come to narration and enter the narration whatever it related to sales transaction

TALLY BASIC ACCOUNT (RECEIPT ENTRY.)

RECEIPT ENTRY.
Generally the receipt entry is used to enter the transactions of Cash receipts and cheque receipts.
That means we goods sold to customers , they will give payment either by cash or cheques. These transaction should enter in “Receipt Entry”. Go to gateway of tally > Accounting Vouchers>Receipt (F6).


In the above receipt entry
Account : Enter the name of the Bank (name of the bank use to deposit the cheque) in case of received payment through Cheque. If received cash enter the cash a/c instead of bank a/c
Particulars : Enter the name of the person / company by whom the amount collected and enter the
amount what the given .

The subject is very large and the time is short, this is the mechanism of the world .However in the contemporary context the human behaviour mainly depend on the competing of enjoyment. So the life come in to the satisfaction and searching the satisfaction. Even technological innovation stimuli the people for a new consumer culture. So the monitory facility is must for enjoying the life. In this way I can express the employment is the best.
In tertiary education is the challenge because the life expectancy in the world is low. Anyhow the tertiary education starts to a person in his /her important period of life enjoyment. In this period the most of the students have the monitory problem and sacrificing the duration for education without enjoyment. So they lose the period from this world for collecting some knowledge. After the tertiary education they have to wait at a suitable job and pass some years there. Even it is the investment of the education there are a lots of lost. The opportunity cost of the selection here the lost is bigger than gaining.
However the rationale priority depends on mind .the investment of tertiary education is much than the enjoyment of life. Tertiary education period and behaviour not an experience or intentions in a working background even that group the knowledge in a particular subject. And also an advantage for getting a good job with good salary. This is an acceptable thing but the opportunity cost for it is higher than the gaining experience from employment and enjoying life.

When we get the tertiary education there have to be ddependant and psychologically have to be as a burden of parents. In this period the mind is with a stress of education and monitory problem. Even there we work in a situation there enjoy the life and think deeply for a good life with a good partner. So the on future selections depend on the present act. In this manner I think the employment is the good way in this period for a selection with free of mind.

Employment is an attitude and also an education through experience. If a person selects an employment then he/she get an enthusiasm for their growth. So an employee is growing day by day .in this mention the period of working is a hierarchal power that feels with the employee and also a person learning the bright of future through the employment. But he/she studied that period then the grownup the knowledge and differs with this situation and learning for future job seeking. Education maintains the employment through an investment but the employment maintains the same good job through experience.
1. However the present world takes the experience for a handle to mechanic the world rather than education. Education mentions the knowledge with a cost for a future life enjoying. But the employment executes the enjoyment at the same period and save some happiness in the same age and correct time.
So the satisfaction is in the life for a person through the employment in the age but on other hand territory education could not enjoy this thing. So the value of this loss is depending on mind and life expectancy of the both groups. Nobody can stop the death and the life condition that determines the death that before and after. The tertiary education should have to change with an employment evens it may be a big problem because the theories are old but the societies are new .so new society have new experience and new theories it will be written with an experience rather than the tertiary education. So the steps of the tertiary education start with the employment. It will decrease the unemployment rate of a country and develop the country and decrease poverty and get high level life expectancy.

But in this world the job is the fortune after the tertiary education this is by every government should have to implement a n employment after the 2nd try education in a particular sector. So that may be an encouragement for a spectrogram development. There the knowledge will be developed with a development of the society.

If the government implement the project as the employment after the 2ndary education there will not be any educational expenditure for the government or the long term loans .so the government can makes the employment through this money. Such as intend the private sector for investment and implement good infrastructure facilities, and attract the foreign investment (etc).on this side government should have the training programs and select some right persons for the right sectors for carrying out the training program.

In any field can do this type of training programme such as medical and engineering sector also? So education also grownup as a practicable education. So here education mention the understanding of unknown things with a good imagination’s here the thinking of a person will be clear through the practicable experience and this intend to so many new things or finding outs. So every country changes as a happy country and there will be a good sartorial development.

The employment after the 2ndary education will decrease the social cost and keep up the people mind in a good relationship. So the time for doing bad thing will be decreased. It is the positive thing for every government to spend the money for the people. So there will decrease the need of police and cost for jails etc.

This decreases the international terrorism also. Because if every government have a good policy how there will be a mind for thing about terrorist act. So the arm groups against the government will be decrease and also the terrorism activities and thinking for terrors activities will be decrease. So this is a key function to implement employment after the 2ndary school.


Gender wise problems will be solved through the employment system. Because in this world women have a high range of employment rather than man. So it is a difficult problem and that will shift
The future is also happening
faster than any of us can imagine. Education is the medium of that exchange. To realize something new in the world—
by persuasion rather than by force, cooperatively rather than competitively, not for gaining dominance for a nation or an ideology but for helping every society develops...

To familiar with short cut keys in Tally.erp 9

To Duplicate a voucher

Go to List of Vouchers

Press ALT + 2

It will create a voucher similar to the one where you positioned the cursor and used this key combination. Now you can post a duplicate voucher or can modify amount of new voucher. This short cut help is posting new entries for similar heads of account with different amount . Say when you have to post monthly entry for bank interest or rent etc, you can use this short cut keys for faster entry.

To Add a voucher

When you are viewing a report or voucher list and you want to add a new voucher, then you don’t need to go main menu of tally or voucher entry screen. you can do this job straight away from here

Press ALT + A and enter a new voucher and its all done!

To create a master at a voucher screen (if it has not been already assigned a different function, as in reports like Balance Sheet, where it adds a new column to the report)

ALT + C

At voucher entry and alteration screens, at a field where you have to select a master from a list. If the necessary account has not been created already, use this key combination to create the master without quitting from the voucher screen

when you are middle of posting an entry, and want to create a new group then just from the filed of ledger account press ALT+C and you will be prompted to new ledger account creation.

you can also create a new group from by this way, or a new item ledger,new unit, currency from the respective field

Another use of this short cut keys can be done from the amount field of an entry.(To access Auto Value Calculator in the amount field during voucher entry)

Suppose you are posting an entry and you want to enter the amount of 1008*10% then from the amount field press ALT+C and calculate 1008*10% and the result will be automatically captured by the amount field.

To delete a voucher

To delete a column in any columnar report

(if it has not been already assigned a different function, as explained above)
